An in-office chair massage event might be just what you need to reward your employees for making it through the past year of work from home and Zoom meetings.
I had the privilege of working with the Kansas City Center for Developmentally Disabled employees on their first official day back in the office in April.
This amazing organization is a non-profit that provides housing, residential care, day habilitation, and personal care assistance programs to adults with developmental disabilities.
The employees at KCCDD rose to meet the challenges of working remotely during a pandemic: Zoom meetings and managing off-site locations.
The management hosted a chair massage event as a thank you to the dedicated staff who work 365 days a year to provide services to those in need.
My friend and fellow massage therapist, Therese Inzerillo, joined me in providing 15-minute chair massages to the more than 65 employees at their offices next to Kaufmann Stadium.
In addition to the in-office chair massage event, KCCDD management raffled off dozens of prizes donated by local organizations, including the Kansas City Royals.
